SPRAGUE PULSE
WEEK OF MARCH 4, 2024
Letter from the Co-Presidents

Hello Sprague!

We hope this message finds you well and looking forward to an engaging week ahead! As part of our ongoing efforts to foster community involvement and promote healthy habits, we are thrilled to announce two exciting events: a Walk to School initiative and our upcoming PTO meeting.

Join us this Wednesday as we lace up our sneakers and stride towards school together! Walking to school not only promotes physical activity but also reduces traffic congestion and enhances our sense of community.

PTO Meetings: Our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) plays a vital role in enriching our school experience. We encourage all families to attend our upcoming PTO meetings, where we discuss important matters, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives to enhance our school environment. Your input and participation are invaluable to us, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Together, we can make a difference! Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our school community. We look forward to seeing you at the Walk to School event and our PTO meeting afterwards @8:35 in the school library.

Best,

Rose & Wendy

SHOPPERS CORNER AT SCHOFIELD

Did you know Shopper’s Corner is a unique resale shop located right in the basement of Schofield Elementary School? The shop sells new and gently used clothing and accessories from infant through adult.

Not only do they promote sustainability, their prices are rock bottom: items start at $1 and most are less than $5!

WELLESLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL 8TH GRADE - HOUSE UNPLUGGED

Earlier this month, Wellesley Middle School 8th graders enthusiastically presented their House Unplugged projects where they researched and built prototypes of homes designed to produce net-zero emissions.

In addition, during Wellesley High School Seminar Day, students will be embarking on a postcard writing campaign to MA legislators about climate action & environmental justice bills.  Many of our students are not old enough to vote so please help their voices get heard by voting locally and beyond for candidates that support your values.

Election Day is Tuesday, March 5th and polls will be open 7am - 8pm. Early Vote by Mail (VBM) and Absentee Ballot applications are available online NOW until 5:00pm on Tuesday, February 27th.  See the Town Clerk's Website for more information.
