SPRAGUE PULSE
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 20, 2023
Letter from the Co-Presidents

Hello Spraguewell,

Are you ready for a short yet action-packed week?

Lace up for our first annual Fun Run/Walk on Wednesday - all parents and caregivers are welcome to join in on this event.

If you're still in town on Thursday and want to pre-burn your holiday meal, sign up for our Spraguewell School team at the 2023 Turkey Trot! Details for both events follow below.

Black Friday rounds out the week - and what better way to shop for the holidays than by supporting Sprague? Our new Fundraisers page is up, running, and adding new vendors every day! We've featured a few of them below, but be sure to bookmark this page and check back often as you shop and dine this holiday season. If you have other ideas for fundraising partnerships, be sure to let us know.

Wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving and a safe and fun break.

We're thankful for all of you!

Best,

Rose & Wendy

WHAT'S HAPPENING
SPRAGUEWELL FUN RUN & WALK

Grab your sneakers and join the Spraguewell community for the first Fun Run/Walk on Wednesday, November 22. Students in each grade will have the chance to walk or run with “pace groups'' led by parent volunteers. Get excited for this opportunity to enrich our community by coming together through exercise with some Spraguewell spirit!

  • 8:30am - Kindergarten/1st/2nd/5th Graders
  • 10:15am - 3rd & 4th Graders

Since the winter holiday season is a critical time to support our broader Wellesley community, students are invited to participate in a food drive that same week to support the Wellesley Food Pantry. Donations will be collected curbside during drop-off on Monday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 22, or you can bring your donation to the bin inside the main entrance. Storage at the food pantry is limited, so we ask that donations adhere to these immediate needs that they have identified:

Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Tomato Paste or Canned Tuna

2nd Grade & 3rd Grade: Canned Pineapple in Fruit Juice or Canned Tuna

4th Grade & 5th Grade: Canned Tomatoes (all types) or Baked or Refried Beans

Sign up to be a volunteer! Parent volunteers are essential to the success of this event, and we are especially in need of volunteers in the early morning next week. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Liz Cheron.

WELLESLEY TURKEY TROT

Last year, the Sprague PTO received a $200 prize for having the Largest School Team - and we want a repeat win, so sign up today!
