SPRAGUE PULSE
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 6, 2023
Letter from the Co-Presidents

Hello Spraguewell,

Happy November! Just a few weeks remain before Thanksgiving break, but we still have plenty of time for some community fun:

  • Save the date of Wednesday, November 22 for Spraguewell Fun Run & Walk - more details will be shared soon.
  • If you haven't already registered for the Wellesley Turkey Trot, be sure to join the Spraguewell team

And for a NOT fun, but hopefully useful update...

Is your kid missing a favorite sweatshirt or coat? Check out the Lost & Found area in the front hall! Please note that any unlabeled items left behind after November 15 will be donated to Cradles to Crayons.

Want a sneak peek of what's there? See photo below. Thank you to our Laundry Fairies for restoring this clothing to its full potential!

Best,

Rose & Wendy

Wellesley Turkey Trot

We hope you will join the Spraguewell Team for the 2023 Wellesley Turkey Trot. The deadline for race shirts is quickly approaching, so register now to make sure you receive a shirt. There are participant caps for both the 5k and the kids' fun run.

Last year, the Sprague PTO received a $200 prize for having the Largest School Team - and we want a repeat win, so sign up today!

ATTENTION SPRAGUEWELL - PTO DONATION EMAIL SCAM ALERT

Some Sprague parents/caregivers recently received an email purporting to be from the Sprague PTO requesting donations, signed with the name of one of the Sprague PTO Co-Presidents, Wendy Englebardt (see screenshot below). The email was sent from a gmail account with the address "pto.president.school1@gmail.com".

What do we need from you?

  • Be on the lookout for similar scams that may be targeting Sprague families.
  • If you receive a suspicious email from an address pretending to be Sprague PTO, report or block the email in your account. No further action is required, but to be safe, do NOT forward the email to anyone else, including Sprague PTO.

Thank you for your help in protecting the community from scammers!

REMINDER - CRADLES TO CRAYONS CLOTHING DRIVE!

You may continue to drop off donations of new or gently used children's clothing at the front entrance from now until November 16th
