| CREATIVE ARTS AND SCIENCES (CAS) UPDATE Ever ask your kids, "did anything exciting happen at school today?" and get the answers, "Nothing," or "I don't remember" in return? If you're looking for better conversation starters to get them talking, check in with the Pulse each week for details about Creative Arts & Sciences (CAS) events! As a reminder, your PTO donations fund these informative, hands-on lessons. Thank you for your kind contributions! Here's what coming up:
Date: October 11th Grade: 3rd Event: Plimoth Patuxet Peoples of the Dawn Land Students will learn about the daily life of the Wampanoag in the 17th century, as well as their current lives and communities. Students will gain an understanding of the connection the Wampanoag and other Native people have to Mother Earth, their seasonal way of life, and their respect for all living beings. Our Native American Museum Teacher wears modern clothing and speaks from a modern perspective so that they can discuss the story of their people in both past and present times. They will share artifacts of traditional life, such as wooden bowls and spoons, animal furs, and tools. Photos will be shared next week!
